-----General Questions-----

"What is this?"
It's a work in progress English patch for the CN/KR Kuro no Kiseki PC port. The end goal is to translate more or less every piece of text in the game to English.
The vast majority of these translations were taken from the Zerofield spreadsheet translation. Their members weren't directly involved, and we kinda used this translation without their permission, but huge thanks to those guys all the same. Sadly though, NISA saw fit to purge everything they've ever made in an attempt to force people to wait for their versions. Please do send the Zerofield guys your support, they probably need it right now.

"How much is done?"
More or less the entire game at this point. There may be the odd untranslated line here or there that we accidentally missed, but the game is pretty much complete.

"How did you do this?"
We used publicly available Kuro modding tools, known as KuroTools to edit the game's script and table files - https://github.com/nnguyen259/KuroTools (Big thanks to these guys. This project wouldn't be possible without them.)
As for textures, they were edited in Photoshop.

"Who's working on this?"
Just a couple anons.

-----Technical Questions-----

"How do I install this?"
Read INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.txt.

"Why can't I change back to the Mare Hollow Core?
This is a bug that was fixed already. Update your patch.

"Why are some button icons misaligned in the menus?"
I have no idea.

"What is XAudio2_9.dll? Do I need it?"
Despite the name, it has nothing to do with audio. It just hooks into the exe and corrects the crappy font spacing the game comes with.
You shouldn't delete it, otherwise the font won't look right. It might break whenever there's an update on Steam, so make sure you use the provided 'ed9.exe' to launch your game.

"Why does the font sometimes turn partially black in the save menu or a certain quest later in the game"
It seems to occur when there's a lot of text on screen, but I have no idea why. It's not something I can fix without knowing the root cause, though it shouldn't affect readability.
